Albums released from 1980 to 1989.

The 80's is the first decade of the recorded hip hop album. What are some of the memories you have about the 80's, concerning these albums? For instance , during this time, I remember in the early 80's it was hard to get your hands on a hip hop albums cause many record stores refused to sell them, mostly because they didn't recognize hip hop as being real music. I remember that most albums came with a lyric sheet and how I use to read the lyrics to every song. I remember when only 3,4, or maybe 5 hip hop albums were released a year. And how I use to play them over and over again for months and months on end, many times all year, without ever getting tired of listen to them or reciting the ryhmes to the songs.

New Playlist "Hip Hop Will Nver Die"
