Hip Hop vs Rap

This is a topic for the ages. Old school heads like myself have a unique perspective on this topic. I see rap as the bastard child of hip hop, who has hit puberty(commercial success), and thinks that it is her own woman, when she is still a naive little girl, seeking direction. One day rap will become an adult and try to model what her mother Hip Hop has done in past days, but until that happens, she will always be a little girl lost in a forest filled with big bad wolves.
